Dublin Movements, October 1977 

A few items are worthy of comment.  The Okanagan Sikorsky S-58 was a very rare visitor and this is the only visit of the type that I can recall (though US Army examples visited in the early 1960s, I think). It was in Ireland in support of oil/gas exploration activity.  The Transmeridian CL-44 at the end of the month was quite a rarity, though the type had visited infrequently with Tradewinds in previous years.  This was the only TMAC example registered in Hong Kong and it reverted to UK marks G-AWWB in 1979. The Balkan Tu-134 on the 13th was the original short-fuselage variant and the type was not a regular sight in Dublin at that time.
